Square root function

Function f: R\R-→ R\R- , f(x)=√x  is called a square root function. To each nonnegative real number we assign its square root.

Monotonicity: monotonously increasing

Parity: not odd, not even

Periodicity: -

Reciprocal function (of the first degree)

Function f: R\0→ R\0 , f(x)=1/x is called a reciprocal function. To each real number we assign its reciprocal, the only exception is 0.

The graph of the function is a hyperbola.
