Special products / Algebraic Formulas



1. The square of the sum of two terms:

The square of the sum of two terms can always be written as a three-term expression which is equal to the square of the first term plus twice the product of the two terms and the square of the second term.



2. The square of the difference of two terms:

The square of the difference of two terms can always be written as a three-term expression which is equal to the square of the first term minus twice the product of the two terms and the square of the second term.



3. The square of the sum of three terms:

The square of the sum of three terms is the sum of the squares of the terms plus twice the products of all possible pairs of terms.



4. The cube of the sum of two terms:

The cube of the sum of two terms is equal to the sum of the cube of the first term plus three times the product of the square of the first term and the second term, three times the product of the first term and the square of the second term plus the cube of the second term.



5. The cube of the difference of two terms:

The cube of the difference of two terms is equal to the sum of the cube of the first term minus three times the product of the square of the first term and the second term, three times the product of the first term and the square of the second term minus the cube of the second term.



6. The product of the difference and sum of two terms:

The product of the difference and the sum of two terms equals to the difference of the squares of the terms.
